The technology race is speeding up at the high cost of leaving Humanity behind. It is a calculated strategy, when human life no longer has any value and instead, is being included as a collateral cost of pushing forward. While a morally-based approach to technological applications would have solved many, if not most, of humanity's problems, we are witnessing instead a new kind of leap in technology - a leap beyond humanity's needs, including beyond its survival.
Technology is and should be amoral, but its human stewards should not. Unfortunately, the humans in control of the new AI craze not only control a vast majority of global wealth, but also control the political will of governments. These individuals, in their power grabbing mindset, believe that humanity had enough time to emerge from outdated social and economical systems, but failed. Their solution is through technological transformation at any costs.
Humanity is being pushed to rethink not the meaning and purpose for life, but its own purpose for living. If we redefine "living" through the lens of technology, then technology will determine our lives and our destiny as individuals and as a species, ultimately redefining the way we live.
Time is not on our side. Resources are not on our side. Power is not on our side.
WE must be on our side.
We must truly understand the cost of accepting this exponential technological takeover of human culture, and do everything we can to connect with one another on a personal level, in a mind-to-mind dialogue, heart-to-heart connection, and hand-to-hand relationship. For those currently in charge of re-designing how we live, you and I are irrelevant. For those currently controlling the direction of our civilization, your children and my children are less than a mere number.
We, and our future generations are becoming more and more a simple statistical hurdle. We do not feel it because this is just "phase 1" of the slash and burn roadmap to the future, where power is being consolidated and infrastructures are being replaced and repurposed to serve the ultimate ideological vision of the god-like techno-authoritarians.
