Two countries consistently voted against or opposed United Nations resolutions recognizing food as a fundamental, legally binding human right.
Same two countries have by now completely ignored and abandoned internationally agreed upon laws and agreements in favor of an unchecked world domination through strength dogma.
The rest of the world is facing one of the most difficult decision in history, a solution that was always clear as day yet as elusive as the divine.
May we all live long enough to realize what we have done. May we all live long enough to feel the sting of our own ignorance and arrogance. May we all live long enough to taste the bitter flavors of regret for what could have been if we only cared more about the well being of us all instead of the absurd satisfaction of feeling special.
All few billion of us - incapable to reach across all artificial divides in order to finally hold together.
We must struggle against our feeling of helplessness and not pass the responsibility of the world's future onto the next generations. We must give back for all we've taken.
